I Am In My Season

Currently I am feeling something that I just can't explain
It is a feeling that I wish would wholeheartedly remain

I don't know the Reason,
But maybe I am in my Season

In the past I had a deep whole that live down inside
But in the place Jesus Christ currently resides

I don't know the Reason,
But maybe I am in my Season

There was a time when I was always so sad and down
But now I wear a big smile instead of a frown

I don't know the Reason,
But maybe I am in my Season

I use to be so unsure about almost everything
Now I am more prepared for whatever life shall bring

I don't know the Reason,
But maybe I am in my Season

There use to be so many doors closed along my way
Now more doors are opening to much brighter days

I don't know the Reason,
But maybe I am in my Season

Oh yeah my season has come
I am ready to grab the bull by the horn
There is so much more for me to do
Cause I am in the midst of my breakthrough

Most definitely God almighty is the Reason
That I am experiencing my Season

THE FACE OF A RECESSION

During hard and difficult times

We count our pennies, nickels and dimes

We are often forced to cut back

So that we do not have to lack

Sometimes we are barely able

To put adequate food on the table

We shop at the second hand store

Just to give our kids a little more

The times when we are in pain

At home we must remain

Without adequate healthcare

Our life will be lived in despair

Although we daily seek

The job market is very bleak

People are losing their homes

To the streets they are sent to roam

Some people have ended their life

Just not deal with all this strife

Many people are really sad

Because things are just so bad

There is much concern

As to when this tide will turn

Although this isn’t the great depression

We are currently facing a major recession

Go Get Your Healing

When you have a lot of problems you been dealing

Take it to a sacred place for spiritual healing

No matter how much your are going through

There is always plenty of room there for you

You will never be turned away

Cause healing takes place any time of the day

Whether you clap your hands or get down on your knees

The healing you receive will be sure to please

So stop handling all of your problems all alone

Your healing awaits you at the foot of the throne

MY LOVE STORY

At the time you entered my life

I was dealing with so much strife

I was in so much pain

I didn’t even think I could sustain

At the time we met I wasn’t even ready

To deal with something more steady

We had to take things real slow

If we had any chance for this to grow

You didn’t fuss or put up a fight

You just wanted to make sure I was alright

In time our friendship grew

We had a chance to start anew

I really did not have a clue

That at the time I was so in love with you

I was so afraid to take a chance

To explore our budding romance

So I decided to give you my heart

And you told me that you would never part

You said you wanted to share your life

So you asked me to be your wife

After 14 years of being together

We are headed to making our love last forever

A FAMILY

A family provides a shoulder to lean on.

It is much stronger than krypton.

A family provides the rainbow on a sunny day.

It is the road map to help us find the way.

A family provides us with strongholds and high towers.

It is how we gain so much power.

A family keeps us in perfect peace.

It is something we never want to cease.

A family provides constant prayer from above.

It is how they show their love.

A family provides refuge during the storm.

It is how they usually perform.

A family teaches us dignity and pride.

It is how we learn to abide.

A family teaches us with their support we can’t go wrong.

It is helps us grow up to become big and strong.

Despite the distance set between us,

Despite our good and bad days,

Despite the various textures of our hair,

Despite the different colors of our skin,

Despite the hurtful things we sometime say.

I am, you are, we are …… A FAMILY.

Life's Journey

Life's journey is filled with many ups and downs.
During the midst of it all sometimes we smile and sometimes we frown.
The road often curves to the left and then to the right.
Because of the choices we make sometimes we are wrong and rarely right.
These curves present us with challenges that we must face everyday.
Oh you better believe that they are going to come without any delay.
Sometimes we grow weary in our quest.
While we strive to give it our very best.
Often we choose to give up the fight, because we have to go through so much just to see the light.
Who said the journey was going to be all peaches and cream.
For many of us that is merely a dream.
So we must decide how to cope with the cards that we are given.
They are going to keep coming as long as we are among the living.
Shall we just lay down and collapse as if we are bleeding.
Or shall we fight on and keep on believing.
So rise up and stand tall.
Oh yes we are going to fall.
But knowing that we can rise once again.
To live another day for a chance to finally win.
Our journey as just really begun.
It will start at the rising of the sun.

The Wind

The wind blows so softly against my skin,
I swear I can almost feel it within.
The way it makes me feel,
I sometimes thinks it isn't real.
It's wonders often have me in a daze,
When I think all about them I am totally amazed.
It feels almost like a soft kiss or a gentle caress,
A feeling that I long for nevertheless.
The way it moves so gentle and swift,
It almost seems as though it gives me a lift.
It often sings in a sweet whistling tone,
It comforts me so I don’t feel alone.
The wind blows more strongly during a storm,
I know it doesn’t last so no need for alarm.
I long for the wind to blow for evermore,
Because I know that it has more in store.
